Physician Assistant
Kristen first joined MomDoc in 2007 as business-office staff, worked as a concierge through college, earned her PA-C in 2018, and now treats patients at MomDoc Chandler.
Kristen Gardner joined MomDoc the way few clinicians ever do: she started in the business office in 2007, before she had any formal medical training. The job was meant to be administrative, but she quickly noticed she wanted to be closer to the patients on the other side of the counter.
She earned her Registered Medical Assistant certificate at Apollo College in 2010 and stayed on as a MomDoc Concierge through her undergraduate years at Arizona State University, where she studied Human Nutrition. That stretch, working the front desk and helping new patients get oriented while carrying a full course load, is where her path crystallized. She completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Northern Arizona University in 2018 and returned to the practice as a PA-C.
Today Kristen sees patients at MomDoc Chandler. Eighteen-plus years inside the same practice (first administrative, then front-of-house, then clinical) give her an unusually complete view of how a visit works from every angle. Outside of clinic, she volunteers with her church, Feed My Starving Children, and Ryan House.
Enjoys spending free time with husband and son, reading, playing music, and traveling. Active volunteer with LDS Church (10+ years), Feed My Starving Children, and Ryan House.
