OB/GYN Physician
Accepting Patients: Yes
Mercy GilbertPuerto Rico-trained OB/GYN Dr. Pagan sees patients at MomDoc Mercy Gilbert in English, Spanish, and French.
Dr. Giselle Pagan grew up in Lares, Puerto Rico, and built her path to medicine around two strengths that still show up in clinic: a scientific mind and an ear for language. She studied industrial microbiology at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez, minored in French, and spent an exchange year in Québec before medical school at Ponce Health Sciences University. She works with patients in Spanish and English, and French when it helps, so fewer women have to translate the hard parts of their care.
She completed her OB/GYN residency at Centro Médico Episcopal San Lucas in Ponce, a busy hospital program where long stretches on labor and delivery and in gyn clinics shaped how she practices. There she taught fetal monitoring to nurses, helped coordinate robotic surgery training, and researched antibiotic choices for patients with preterm rupture of membranes. Outside the hospital she volunteered through hurricane recovery and community health fairs, the kind of work that keeps medicine tied to the people it is supposed to serve.
Now at MomDoc Mercy Gilbert, she brings that full-scope training to Arizona families who want an OB/GYN who listens carefully and explains clearly.
Enjoys traveling and cultural immersion, foreign arts and cinema, cooking, baking, and sourdough.
