Dr. V. Mily Nieves was born and raised in Puerto Rico and lived there until she was 23 years old. She went to undergraduate school at the Universidad de Puerto Rico Recinto Universitario de Mayaguez and graduated in July of 1996 with a B.S. in Biology. She then moved to Mexico to go to medical school at the Universidad Autonoma De Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico. She graduated in December of 2000 with an M.D. degree; because she was a foreign graduate, she had to study an extra year in the United States so she went to New Jersey to fulfill that requirement. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Louisiana State University in New Orleans in June 2007 and joined the Practice shortly thereafter.
