Dr. Namita Kothari, M.D. was born and raised in India. She attended S.M.S. Medical College in Jaipur, India for her M.D. degree where she graduated in 1999. She then entered a residency program at a very prestigious institution in India and it was here where she began to develop her love for women's health - it contained all of the aspects of medicine that she had been looking for, both surgical and medical.

In 2002, she was accepted to the program at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. It was there that she received excellent training in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery.
