Dr. Allen grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has always been interested in medicine, particularly obstetrics and gynecology, and did volunteer work and shadowed physicians while in high school and college. She received her B.S. in Biology from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, then her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University. Continuing to move east to Pennsylvania, she completed an internship and finished her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Memorial Hospital in June 2009. Since moving to Arizona, Dr. Allen is enjoying the much warmer weather.
