Dr. Aristea “Tay” Karabinas always knew she wanted to be in medicine. Her father was a doctor and she spent lots of time in his office cleaning and filing and doing whatever other jobs she was given. In college at The University of Texas, her anatomy class narrowed her sights on OB/GYN. She loved the beauty of pregnancy and a new life being created. On the last day of her 3rd year medical school OB/GYN rotation, a patient came into the clinic in labor, ready to deliver at any moment, and all of the doctors were with other patients. Dr. Karabinas jumped up, ready to help however she could. By the time the doctors rushed in, she had just delivered the beautiful new baby! That experience solidified it for her, and she was bound for Women’s Health! She completed her Medical Doctorate at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies, and her residency at Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center through Michigan State University. We are excited to have Dr. Karabinas with the Practice!
Dr. Karabinas is currently accepting new OB and GYN patients for pregnancy and women’s health issues. If you are pregnant or have a gynecologic problem, please call today to be seen today.
