We are sad to report that despite months of negotiations, Aetna has made decisions that would prevent us from providing care to their patients. The financial decisions made by Aetna are unsustainable, and we are disappointed that we are unable to continue our relationship with Aetna.
Effective May 15, 2012, Drs. Goodman & Partridge will no longer be an Aetna in-network provider. Sadly patients need to look for another healthcare provider if they have Aetna as their health insurance provider.
The decision to stop accepting Aetna stems from the insurance carrier’s payment policies and rate changes. The Practice cannot keep accepting Aetna Health Plans because their rates do not provide a sustainable business model for Obstetricians and Gynecologists. We are frustrated and disappointed about how this will impact our patients, but unfortunately it is a decision we have been forced to make.
