Just got back from a conference in Texas. It was a review on primary care topics such as dermatology, psychology, neurology, GI system, etc. The faculty discussed red flags to look for in each system and when to refer out. The speaker was amazing, and from Louisiana. She had a lovely drawl. My favorite talk was one on antibiotics which explained which families of medications are best for what kind of bacteria and how they work. While I was there I was able to connect with family, going to the PinOak Horse show which is an international affair. The horses were beautiful with their manes and tails braided. There were some awesome jumpers. The blue bells were in full bloom covering entire fields. While I was there I was able to eat some TexMex and Chicken Fried Steak, which no one does like Texas! The only thing I missed was the BBQ, I’ll have to save that for next time!
