We are excited to welcome Dr. Malini Govindan to the group today!  Dr. Govindan, a native of Tirupattur, Tamilnadu, India, has recently been working in Houlton, Maine. The warm weather is a welcome change for her. Dr. Govindan completed her OB/GYN residency at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 2008. She earned her M.D. from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College in Bangalore India. Dr. Govindan is particularly interested in urogynecology, pediatric and adolescent gynecology and minimally invasive surgery. She has received numerous awards and honors in medical school and residency.

On a personal note, Dr. Govindan is married and has two children. She was on her high school basketball team, and is a huge basketball fan. She loves all kinds of foods, but her favorite desserts are baklava, turnovers, moist cakes and any dessert with fruit! Dr. Govindan's favorite TV shows are Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, The King of Queens, Everybody Loves Raymond and Reba. She enjoys walking, running and hiking, so Arizona is a great place for her to be! She enjoys cooking and loves a variety of foods, including Greek, Mediterranean, Mexican, Thai and South Indian.

Dr. Govindan will be seeing patients at our Mercy Gilbert Office, and delivering at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. Welcome, Dr. Govindan!
