Latest Question:

What do I do now?. We have been trying for 4 years with no baby yet.

My husband an I have been trying to have a baby for about 3 and 1/2 to 4 years. My periods are very irregular so in march I got on Low-Ogestrel Birth control to try to regulate then got off of it in july. Still nothing. I don't know if the issue is with me or with him or with both of us. We need some help please.

Dr. Namita Kothari Responds:

Irregular cycles can be related to sporadic ovulation. One way to find that out is by checking with over the counter ovulation kit. Typically if a couple does not conceive after 1 year of trying then the work up is initiated by the doctor and it includes a variety of tests which involve both husband and wife. Hope that helps and wish you good luck.
